In short, it is sometimes quite shocking how economical many manufacturers even for high-priced high-end speakers are in selecting crossover components, internal cabling, insulation and connection terminals.

Cheap capacitors and cement resistors in the high-frequency signal, distorting core coils in front of midrange drivers, cheap litz cables and brass connections.
The high-gloss finish seems often more important than the sound.
